The big road trip...

Another self-explanatory forum title, but since they give me a big space to put descriptions I will add that this is the place to post and host get togethers

The big road trip...

Postby Bill H. on Thu May 21, 2009 2:42 am

Well, there certainly was some big fun had on our road trip from Ft. Worth to D.C. Packed Alpha, Amy, and Leah in Harry's truck and headed east. Got to spend the first night in Atlanta and had a great time seeing my daughter who lives there. The next morning was spent at Stone Mountain and that is a must do for any self-respecting Southerner! Moved on up to Viginia Beach and spent the night there right on the ocean. Arrived in Dover the next day and hooked up with Harry's offspring there. Made this our home base while visiting all of the D.C. points of interest for the remainder of the week. The time spent there was too short, but on Saturday it was time to make a mad dash back home.

I think that the gals lost track of all of the states they passed through. Gotta look at the pics again of every "Welcome to ..." sign that we saw.

What a great trip!

Sounds like a grand time was had by all. I hope you and Harry gave the proper salute to the anointed one,

SHit Bill every time me and mine have been on a road trip as we entered a state the ASAWA started nagging me to stop so she could stop and buy refrigerator magnets. I tried to get her to buy one of those 50 state quarter things and she could put a quarter in every state she had been instead of making me stop in every state but she said it just was not the same

Had to go to Kansas this last weekend for a funeral. Wife wanted me to stop to get a souvenir, I got a shot glass, had to go back for a refrigerator magnet.

Hey Bill, did y'all made a detour down to Gray, Georgia? I would have sent you the gas money to drive down there and cruise past Todd's house and shoot him the finger.
